Ready Player One

Ernest Cline has written a compelling futuristic tale building upon a "distant" past of the '80s and that looks more similar to today than is in any way comfortable or comforting. Whether you ever played Pac Man or any other of the universe of video games (which I have not), the novel will draw you into its labyrinths, and have you rooting for the best player to win. It reminded me of The Circle (which is a must read), and yet also stands on its own. This books demands a bit more patience and imagination, but will be hauntingly worth it.

Cline will dispel any temptation to think what titans do doesn't really matter.
