Joined Briana and Tiffany at Exhale Midtown yesterday to welcome 2018 by doing 108 Sun Salutations.
108 has spiritual significance in yoga and in many religions. There are 108 beads on a rosary, and it is the average distance per their diameters between the sun, earth and the moon - or something like that.
The reading at the end was a gift. Unconditional Love. We may give it to others, but most importantly we must learn to give it to ourselves. This will open us, heal us, help us to grow, and to become ever more loving, strong and true.
"Anything that annoys you is teaching you patience. Anyone who abandons you is teaching you how to stand up on your own two feet. Anything that angers you is teaching you forgiveness and compassion. Anything that has power over you is teaching you how to take your power back. Anything you hate is teaching you unconditional love. Anything you fear is teaching you courage to overcome your fear. Anything you can't control is teaching you to let go."
